Trustee

With the support of the British Standards Institution (BSi); we are writing the first standard on how to access Mental Health (MH) services in Higher Education. The first of a series of MH Standards that we will be creating for Industries.

What will you be doing?

Are you a Trustee interested in Mental Health Policy? This is the Position for you!!

As a Trustee you will play a vital role in overseeing the governance of the charity. You will be working alongside a small but dedicated Board of Trustees with a diverse pool of skills and experience. You must be a good role model and be able to have the confident respect and support of the Chief Executive and the Charities staff team.

The Board will meet approximately four times a year, alongside sub-groups comprising Strategy, Planning, Finance & HR. The meetings are generally during the evenings but occasional weekend meetings may be required.

To apply for the role applicants must be sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Grae Matta Foundation and ideally have some experience of ill mental health.

What are we looking for?

This is a highly rewarding and varied role, and we particularly encourage applicants with an extensive background in either Human Resources, Research & Development or Fundraising.

These are indeed challenging times so we need Trustees who are hands on and dedicated to making sure the Foundation survives these extremely challenging times.

To apply for the role applicants must be sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Grae Matta Foundation and ideally have some experience of ill mental health with themselves or close friends and family.

What difference will you make?

Grae Matta Foundation needs strong and resilient leadership. The task ahead is immense and has never been done before. But with the right leadership and team, anything is possible.

What’s in it for the volunteer?

This role would suit someone who has experienced poor mental health services and wants to make positive change. By being a Volunteer you can make real difference in an area that needs massive reform and direction.

We have a moral obligation to make the world a better place. And the only way we are going to do that is by doing it together.
